This project examines economic abuse among married women in Türkiye, with attention to women’s lived experiences, the measurement of economic abuse, and its broader psychosocial correlates.

I contributed to the project through qualitative and quantitative research, including the development of interview questions, participant recruitment, transcription, thematic analysis, and work on the adaptation of an economic abuse measure. 

The project currently has three interconnected components. The qualitative study is being developed into a manuscript focusing on women’s experiences of economic abuse in marriage. A second component involves ongoing data collection for scale development and validation, while a third component uses quantitative data to examine hypothesized relationships between economic abuse and related psychosocial variables.
